This song came to me out of the blue as I was standing here ironing some cotton shirts. I know, but I love to iron, especially with the windows wide open, on this brilliantly sunny morning.
I remember singing it with Nana. And in the backseat of our big Chevrolet: Dad was driving, with a pipe in his mouth, of course. He actually looked a bit like old Bing.

Can’t believe you posted Bing doing his thing! My mother used to sing this song to use when we were little! Haven’t heard it for many years! What an era of music! I’m sure you’ve seen that I have a SONGS OF WORLD WAR II show, with many cancellations for the past several months. Nonetheless, a great era of American popular music!
