So very sad to realize that this beautiful land bursting with adorable, talented people and endless resources is left in the hands of brutes.
This lovely tray, depicting the Araucaria tree, native of the State of Santa Catarina, is one of many souvenirs brought back from five trips to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, during what I sometimes call the sixth, and most marvelous, chapter of my life.
The turquoise stone, also from Brazil, was a gift from a dear friend.
